NUS Women's Conference 2016

NUS Women Students' Conference is the sovereign policy-making body of the Women Students' Campaign which is a politically autonomous part of National Union of Students UK. This Conference brings together delegates from students' unions affiliated to NUS UK to discuss, debate and vote on motions and elect the political leadership for the year ahead.

Each Constituent Member (of which CUSU WomCam is one) is entitled to send a maximum of four delegates made up of:

• Up to two open place delegates with full voting and speaking rights

• Additionally one reserved place delegate who defines as a black woman.

• Additionally one reserved place delegate who defines into another Liberation group (black, disabled or LGBT) or has caring responsibilities.

I (Charlie) will be going as an open place delegate. Due to budget constraints, we cannot send a full delegation. As such, we are reserving a place for a BME woman and another space for a delegate who defines into another liberation group (black, disabled or LGBT+) or has caring responsibilities.

Online voting will be held from Saturday 12th March at 9am – Monday 14th March at 5pm. Successful delegates will be announced by midday Tuesday 15th March. Voting will be on:
