Student Parents

‘Pregnancy and maternity’ are protected characteristics under the Equality Act, and as such, discrimination, harassment or unfair treatment arising from such are now illegal. The University, as a public authority is required to uphold this policy. See more information on the University’s Equality and Diversity Policy here. Or look at WomCam’s campaign for student parents here.

Feel free to get in contact with the CUSU Women’s Officer to ask any questions you might have about being a student parent.

Student Advice Service

If you require additional support or advice, get in touch with the Student Advice Service. The Student Advice Service has a good knowledge of both university and college procedures as well as services within colleges, the University and the city of Cambridge, so please get in touch if you are unsure of how to proceed, need support or just want to talk something through.

Disclaimer: Whilst CUSU Women’s Campaign has been careful to check the suitability of these organisations as contact points for students, it cannot be held responsible for the work or advice of any external organisation. Neither should this list be treated as exhaustive.
